Brayden Newby

Contemporary

Brayden Newby began dancing at the age of 17 in Lafayette, Indiana. After graduating from high school, Brayden moved to Utah where he danced on Brigham Young University’s “Contemporary Dance Theatre.” Shortly after, Brayden discovered Odyssey Dance Theatre and joined Odyssey’s junior company “Odyssey 2” where he gained training from Derryl Yeager and Eldon Johnson. Brayden joined the company for “Thriller” in 2012 and has since danced with Odyssey for 3 seasons. He has performed roles with Odyssey such as Romeo in "Romeo & Juliet," and Don in "Carmen." Since then, Brayden has trained with Bonnie Story, has danced for USANA conventions, and has been a featured dancer in a Courtyard Marriott commercial. In 2015, Brayden moved to Montreal, Canada, where he worked with Krista Monson and participated in the creation of the Cirque Eloize show "Monaco."
